Star only pertains to Disney+ accounts outside of the U.S.

Ohh, well I did not know that. Should’ve done my research before posting lol.

Well I think it sounds like a good addition with lots of new titles and content available.

I watched Mulan last week on 4K streaming and I must say the quality was like watching a disc for me, absolutely shocked how good it looked. I haven’t tried a 4K disc though yet as I only own a standard PS4 for Blu-rays.

What’s everyone else’s thoughts on the quality of streaming via Disney+?

If that’s the case, there is no way the quality will remain that good over the coming years. More and more, streaming services are slashing their bit rates to save costs and ease capacity. Netflix have done it, and others will follow.
Some shows on Netflix have half the bitrate they used to have and there are obvious artefacts as a result.

I do think the new Star offering coming to Europe is a big deal though. They have some considerable ammunition now.

Disney like Netflix knows their growth has to be the international market. Adding STAR will help them do that.

The content added by Star will vary per country, but this is the UK selection for launch day, by the way.

I got most of the Fox films via iTunes for $3-$5. Star is not adding anything of value to me me. Already Fox films on D+ (in the UK) don't have DV and audio is 5.1 256 Kbps whereas the same on iTunes or MA is DV / Atmos.
