Not sure if this has been discussed before, wanted to post it in the other Amazon packaging thread but figured it'd get lost in there.
Has anyone ever considered paying $3.99 extra for the gift wrap packaging for expensive blus that you don't want the packaging to mess up? For example, I'm out of the country and the Batman Animated Series blu is coming out Tuesday. I won't be able to go in store to a Best Buy or brick and mortar place to pick up a copy where I know the box won't be damaged. I've never used the Amazon gift wrap option before (only gift notes). I figure since I'm paying $100 for the Batman Limited Edition set, $3.99 is a small convenience fee for it to be packed with some extra wrapping/layers to try and give it more protection than the standard packaging, especially since the boxset itself is pretty big. Obviously I wouldn't be using this for your standard $19.99 releases that I have a decent chance of picking up at a B&M when I get back. But I figure it would make sense since I'm spending this much, to have it packed extra nicely for a small fee of what I'm actually paying, that is of course if the packing is worth it. So far I haven't seen a youtube reviews of anyone using it specifically for home media. |
