BJ's Wholesale Club Mac OS and iTunes 4K

Hi,

I upgraded Big Sur (MacOS) today on my M1 Mac mini and now in the ATV app there is a 4K section that I don't remember seeing before.

Seems it's possible to watch 4K content from iTunes on MacOS now. (Intel Macs still limited to 1080p.)

(or maybe this is old news)

Edit - This didn't work for my projector but my monitor is recognized as HDR and seems able to stream iTunes 4K content now.

Edit according to support page the M1 based Mac mini should output 4K from iTunes content

Seems 1080p limitation is only for intel based desktops.

That's good to know. I've got a 4K HDR monitor now but it's still connected to an Intel Mac, I'll probably jump to M series next year so that'll be a nice bonus.

Yeah,.... I was upset it wasn't like this from the start.

I did set my Mac Mini up on a desk and paired it with a 4K monitor so this was a pleasant surprise after the most recent update.

I have a 2019 27 inch regular iMac. Just checked and can verify that playback is now 4K HDR.
