with Lionsgate it's a crap shoot.

question, those who saw it the cinema in the UK, did the end titles denote Dolby Atmos? It's not mentioned on Dolby's own website, but neither was 'Early Man's notation either.

Studiocanal really kicked the ball out the ballpark

with the 4K UHD disc edition of 'Early Man' - top notch Dolby Vision image and fantastic Atmos mix. 'Shaun' hopefully will be the same when it comes out on home video.

I'm a bit worried that this will be cancelled. The French video release is apparently set for 19 February and the German video release was just confirmed for 6 February, but no UHD Blu-ray so far in either country.

The US theatrical release set for this month has also been cancelled, and at this point, the film has taken in less than 1/3 of the box office total of its predecessor.

I can't remember if Canal has ever cancelled a UHD Blu-ray they put up for pre-order, but while I'm disconcerted that the film is only available to pre-order in the UK at the moment, the Aussie theatrical release is not until next month, so perhaps it's not time to panic just yet.

I really hope StudioCanal UK soldier on and release this.

They did a UHD for Early Man despite it just nudging over $50M worldwide in box office receipts, Farmageddon hasn't grossed nearly that much but I think Shaun'll be okay.

They sold the rights to Netflix, who are gonna release it early next year and likely push for an Oscar nom.

Honestly it just makes me hope that this release materializes even more.

Damn. My three-year-old son and I have been looking forward to a theater trip for this one all year. He's gonna be bummed.

He was Shaun for Halloween, my wife was Wendolene, I was Wallace, and I carried around his stuffed Gromit. Easily my favorite Halloween.
