Hi all,

Everyone here has been supportive of the Ultimate Edition Blu-ray releases of my films THE DEAD NEXT DOOR and ROBOT NINJA, so I wanted to give you a heads-up about a new indie release from one of my colleagues... he's doing self-distribution, with preorders now available from my Makeflix store.

HER NAME WAS CHRISTA is a grisly horror/drama love story that will be available on February 14 as an Unrated Director's Cut with reversible artwork on DVD or 2-Disc Blu-ray + DVD. The movie was written, directed, and stars James L. Edwards, who worked on many of my old Tempe flicks, most notably POLYMORPH and BLOODLETTING, as well as cameos from a bunch of genre vets including Sasha Graham (POLYMORPH, ADDICTED TO MURDER), Barbara Katz-Norrod (SKINNED ALIVE, DEAD & ROTTING), director Scooter McCrae (SHATTER DEAD), and yes — full disclosure — yours truly. (Spoiler alert: I'm not an actor.)

P.S.: Also full disclosure, while the DVD has been replicated, the Blu-ray is manufactured on demand, which I know isn't popular with some of you... but it's a very professional package with plenty of extras and reversible artwork (shown above).
