A "most requested" Blu-ray title feature would be nice - Blu-ray Forum

You know how on tvshowsondvd.com, you can set up a list of the shows you want to see released to dvd and then they compile these stats and have a top 10 most requested list?

I think it would be nice to have such a feature here at blu-ray.com.

I don't know if there is a vbulletin mod that does this already, but basically, every member would be able to have an unlimited list of titles they would like to see released. This info could be useful to the studios in determining potential demand for older titles.

I know the list would be topped with stuff like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, but it might also reveal some other preferences that may not be obvious.

Just a suggestion.

I believe, on occasion here, there are polls from sony or other company insiders that ask us what our favorite releases would be. So it does happen, I'm sure it would just be way too hard for these production companies to keep track on things they did not create though.

That would be a good idea but tvshowsondvd.com has spent alot of time updating and creating their system. They also add new shows and tv show news daily. It would be very difficult to get this done!

It would be very cool but very difficult.. IMO
