Oh thank funk!

I've been really struggling to put off importing the flawed Kino release and was thinking about getting the new German one. Glad I held off! Really hoping Arrow does this classic justice.

The Kino version is outstanding so I'm not going to get this. But, glad it's coming out for those that still were waiting on it.

Yeah I've got the Kino as well so won't be grabbing this but the artwork for both boxes is great. That original art one is so sick

Looks like you gain this:

Discussing the Pod, a panel conversation about Invasion of the Body Snatchers and invasion cinema featuring critic Kim Newman and filmmakers Ben Wheatley (Kill List) and Norman J. Warren (Satan’s Slave)

But lose these from the Kino release:

Audio Commentary with author/film historian Steve Haberman (2016)
"Star-Crossed in the Invasion" 2016 interview with actress Brooke Adams (9:06)
"Re-Creating the Invasion" 2016 interview with screenwriter W.D. Richter (15:43)
"Scoring the Invasion" 2016 interview with composer Denny Zeitlin (15:34)
"Leading the Invasion: 2016 interview with actor Art Hindle (25:04)

For some reason those links aren't working for me. Can I not order from within the US?

No, you'll need to switch your country to UK (top of the page) as they're UK exclusive releases. Arrow UK does ship to the US.

This. Hopefully they get FiM to handle the encode.

That OAE looks sweet! I just hope Arrow UK are better with their shipping protection now, it's been a while since I ordered direct from them.

The last two I received from them came in bomb-proof packaging.

If anyone from Arrow Films ever dips in here, please note: Here is a film already released in the US that I will import from the UK because there is an Original Artwork Edition.

I would've imported your Carrie release too, but alas there wasn't an Original Artwork Edition. Le sigh.

Uh oh, is the Arrow store exclusive only available from their UK storefront, not their U.S. one?

Well, the case insertfor Carrie is reversible.

I ordered this but not Carrie. Primairly because of the bit of missing audio.

It's a UK-only release, since Kino already has it in the US. So yeah, at the UK store only.

Yeah don't really care about the missing extras tbh, I want the Arrow for the superior encode and (likely) corrected audio.

But probably the biggest thing for me is that this won't have those weird brightness shifts in Dolby Vision when I watch it on my Panny. This is one of my absolute favourite films from the '70s and the Kino disc always drove me absolutely NUTS in that regard. I have yet to receive a DV Arrow UHD with that problem.
