Default The Thing vs Mulholland Drive

Both are known as the best movie of either director, which one do you prefer?

Edit: I have no idea how GIFs aren't visible. And accidentally voted for Mulholland Drive lol

I like Mulholland Drive but it's nowhere close to THE THING which ranks in my top 5 films of all time

The Thing.

I would argue against either of them being the best film by their respective director.

Mulholland Drive, of course.

(The Thing is great, too. I'm no hater.)

This forum apparently thinks The Thing is the greatest movie ever, though.

The best movie of all time isn't Blade Runner (but it's one of the best) neither is MD or The Thing (which is an amazing film).

It's either The Godfather or Citizen Kane objectively speaking.

But my personal favorite remains The Shawshank Redemption followed by Dark Knight.

Edit: Blade Runner is top 15 though.

Dude, these are my favorite films and despite having strong acclaim and being placed in a very good list of the best film of all time, from a pure filmmaking perspective there's nothing that beats Citizen Kane or The Godfather.

What is this "no" about?

IIRC Blade Runner is in the top 100 both sight and sound and theyshootpictures so it's one of the best film of all time, but not the best when Coppola's big three, Taxi Driver, Citizen Kane exists.

Well, Blade Runner didn't stand a chance against The Thing.

Next poll should be The Thing vs. Schindler's List or The Thing vs. The Godfather

Mulholland Drive would go extremely close to being my personal most loathed film ever seen. Truly, I hate it like it was a person. The Thing is back half of my Top 100 material. Too easy.
