Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... I don't know what to do, lmao. This'll undoubtedly be cheaper for me than the Lionsgate release, but that list of extras is underwhelming, to say the least. Might still be swayed by the US disc if it offers the goods.

I've not studied the extras yet but I have old the old extras (especially from Artisan/LIVE DVD) from everywhere bundled into my own Frankenbox.

I'll get whichever is cheapest probably.

Fact of the day. The guy who was the CEO of LIVE (Artisan Entertainment) was the father of those 2 little Menendez shits who were just refused bail for murdering him and his wife.

Nice to see another LL release available from another label for those of us outside the US. Gives me hope that the new Rambo boxset will see a release outside of the states aswell.

Jacob's Ladder is truly cursed with terrible home video art. Original poster nearly completely buried! Japan's Blu was the last release to feature it. From what I've seen, LL's art is better but it's like comparing a turd to diarrhea. I will take the turd.

Here's the BD version for comparison. I don't know why SC can't do the 4K with both standard and Steelbook packaging.

Lionsgate will also be releasing this in the US - does that mean we Yanks also have to worry about this?

Not crazy about the art but I like it better than what LG came up with.

So, will either the Lionsgate or this be released as a standard edition 4K at one point?

Not a big fan of steelbooks, but if that's all we are going to get, I will probably go for the Lionsgate, if that one has better extras.

StudioCanal will probs release a standard UHD later matching the new BD. That's what they did with Red Sun and Soldier Blue IIRC.

Love this film. This steelbook is contesting with Criterion's Altered States cover in the fugly stakes but I've given up at this point, it is what it is. Only Radiance has reliably great original covers.

Oh I love that steelbook art so much more that what LL is putting out, but echoing the sentiment that the extras are a little lackluster.
