There is no connector - Blu-ray is read by a blue laser diode, so no physical contact is actually made [/sarcasm]

Most stand alone Blu-ray players will include standard video outputs which most likely will include composite, s-video, component, and HDMI. DVI and VGA are both computer standard connections, not video standard.

The ONLY two standard video connections that are capable of passing a HD signal are component video and HDMI.

Since these are standard connectors on HDTVs, nobody should have any issues hooking up.

The composite and s-video connections are there for people with legacy displays that still want to be able to hook them up.
