Hello, I recently noticed i am no longer getting audio sent to my subwoofer channel with my Xbox one X while using apps like Spotify or pandora. I still have a signal being sent there while watching movies. I have rotated cables and and tried multiple channels on my receiver to make sure it wasn’t a hardware issue however it appears to only be my Xbox One X. Settings are set to surround sound could this be a result of the new update that came out 1/12/21 is anyone else having this issue?

It's quite possible that the receiver you have needs to be switched properly. As an example, most Yamaha receivers need to have 'Extra Bass' selected in the on-screen menu or it will not send sound out to a sub on two channel sources - especially if you have your front speakers set to Large.
That said, if you're getting the sub when you run FM radio or a CD in just stereo, then the above may not be the issue. Music, unless you decide to force it into 5 channel stereo, is just two channel (other than bluray audio in surround or a concert disc). |
