Hey... Im not looking to upgrade to 4k so please don't turn this thread into it.
I’m looking for a list in which the 2k version supplied with the 4k is superior to the stand alone release. For instance, unforgiven has a lossless track on its 2k disc where the stand alone is lossy. I tend to miss a lot of releases because of the separate 4k forum. Thanks... |

You mean the included Blu-Ray is better than the previously released Blu-Rays?
![]() Warner's releases of the four Batman films would be an example. The included Blu-Rays all featured the same (new) remasters that are on the 4K discs, but they haven't released the Blu-Rays individually from the 4K releases yet. |

You’re honestly not going to find that many. A few other examples are The Shining, 2001 and The Matrix. A lot of studios don’t seem to care about this or are inconsistent like WB. You say you don’t want to upgrade to 4K, but you’re not gonna get a lot of updated blu-rays in the future.
