Special characters in username make problems for app

Hey,
when I registered I think I accidentally filled in my password as my username and this is why I have this weird looking one. I know you can't change your username afterwards and I learned to live with it and that's ok.
BUT my username seems to be a problem for the blu-ray.com app. I always get "incorrect username or password". I tried several times and made sure I had no typos in it but it still never works. I assume it's because the special characters like @, " or ^ are causing problems. I would love to use this app, so maybe someone could check the issue or maybe even make an exception and let me change my username?
I love the site but it would be a shame if I can't use the app.
