As a slasher, I like Michael the most, especially in Carpenter's film and the 2018 film. An inhuman boogeyman devoid of purpose and emotion.
As a series, I think it's close between Nightmare and Friday. Both are pretty consistent. Nightmare tends to be more visually and narratively imaginative, but Friday, while never hitting the high points out of the gate like Halloween or Nightmare, remains pretty consistent throughout. Halloween, as a series, is just a clusterf***. Still, I have to give it to Michael for presence and overall the best film out of any of the series in Carpenter's 1978 masterpiece. |

Myers 1st was my favorite. Jason had a great 3D film with his second outing. I could never get more than 20 minutes into a Freddy without falling asleep.

Jason def is cooler looking but I've always been more attached to the Halloween franchise personally.
