Sony Reciever Question? - Blu-ray Forum

Hi everyone I have a sony str-dg510 bravia reciever it has hdmi input but i cant get it to support true hd or dts hd.Does anyone know if it does indeed accept it.I have it connected to my ps3 at the moment with optical and can get dtshd at 1.5mbps with hdmi I get nothing.

You should search this, but i'm pretty sure it won't bitstream either to a reciever through hdmi and optical wont' handle the bandwith of those codecs. Best bet is LPCM over HDMI.

Not a chance. The SRT-DG510 will not support DTS-HD nor TrueHD. HDMI is also 1080i. The list of available features can be downloaded here http://www.sonystyle.com/wcsstore/So...f/STRDG510.pdf
