If Discotek Media sells a lot of Kamen Rider and other live action special effects titles than Kamen Rider Black RX will be licensed. Kamen Rider is making a huge wave in the west.

Bought Zero One and Kuuga when they released, seeing Discotek join Shout Factory in releasing Blu-rays I'm more hopeful that we will get the entire franchise on Blu-ray eventually.

After watching the new Black Sun series, I have a feeling these releases are going to be popular.

Showa and the early Heisei are the best imo.

I'll be definitely getting this and Kuuga. I just hope they did a better job with the transfers than Mill Creek did with the Ultra Series.

Considering how much discotek Blurays cost, they better be pristine. Mill Creek I cant really fault as they just reprinted what they were given, and the price was a steal.

The masters for the most part weren't bad. Mill Creek just did a poor encoding job with them. But like you said, the price was a steal. If the original Japanese releases were English-friendly and not so overpriced, I would have gotten those.

Their releases of Juspion & Gavan were fine so there's nothing to worry about with Black.

I assume the hour-long recap special is "Toei TV Hero Encyclopedia Vol. 1: Kamen Rider Black". Doesn't look like the 25-minute "Kamen Rider 1 Through RX: Big Gathering" is included, though past Japanese DVD releases had it as episode 52. Maybe they could include it on a potential RX set.

I hope we get blurays of older Kamen Rider Super-1 and Rider 1. I lived in Okinawa for years in the late 70s and loved these shows. This and Sentai Denziman I hope we get blurays of. I still can't believe Mill Creek brought out Ultraman on bluray... My mind is still blown.
