If it turns out anything like how they did the artwork on the Labyrinth 4K release and used the same artwork for the digibook, regular 4K release and the steelbook then I'm guessing this will end up being the artwork for the steelbook.

That would be hella awesome if Sony went the Labyrinth route in terms of original artwork.

I'd like to see the actual artwork before trading/selling my Amazon.de steel. Really like that one so BB's would have to blow me away. As for the 4K disc, I can always get that for cheap and add it to the German steel if BB is subpar.

I had been keeping my eyes out for one of those for a decent price. Since I only have the Collector's Edition DVD of this currently I went ahead and preordered the 4K steelbook. I'll be happy with it no matter what the art as I love this movie. I just hope it includes all the bonus stuff from the DVD edition.

This is what I've done for a number of my releases.
If I already have a crackerjack cover to house my film, then I'll stick the latest-greatest release into it, such as;
- Mad Max series, put in "Blu gas can"
- Godzilla, Criterion, put in Toho Digibook
- Reservoir Dogs, Blu put in dvd "gas can"
- Troy, put in dvd collectors box
- others but you get the idea.

I'd love it if they followed the contrasting colors of White/Black between Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal, by having the Steelbook background for this be Black, with the standard release's artwork featured, centered, on the front. Just as the Steelbook for Labyrinth is white. Make it happen, Sony.

Sounds like this is going to be exactly like how they did the Labyrinth 4K.....same artwork for the steelbook and the amaray and the digibook but no 4K on the digi.
