Default Consolidating your collection thread

I have been consolidating some of my series (like Spider-man, Dragon Ball Z etc.)

How do you consolidate your sets?

Does anyone know where I can get cases like these?

It seems to me that there's a size past which the cases aren't sold to the general public, probably they're only produced at that size for special orders for companies distributing big "complete series" sets. I've seen 14-disc sets for sale in the past, but recently all cases have been harder to come by and especially the bigger sizes. You might not be able to find bigger than 10 or 12.

I've re-purchased several tv box sets that used more efficient packaging. It'd be nice if Vudu allowed md2d for tv shows as well.

I haven't looked for empty multidisc cases, but hamiltonbook.com has an Untouchables set that houses over 20 discs for $9.95. Big Lots has a number of those megasets for between $10 - $20. You can watch & hope for a clearance sale or if you are a member, use 1 of their $5 off $15 coupons combined with their semi-regular 20% off sales. I've seen Have Gun Will Travel, Streets of San Francisco, etc. Could try selling the discs loose & keeping the case...

A friend of mine has just started buying a couple of 240 disc wallets or binders from Harbor Freight & seems happy. I haven't seen them in person.

There have been times where I’ve wanted to go “super minimalist” and just get rid of ALL my disc packaging and just keep them in binders... but then I come to my senses and am like “you’re not doing that, idiot” lol.

As for consolidating, the most I’ve done is make my own Blu-ray combo packs by swapping out certain discs. Like, for The Muppet Movie, I took out the included digital copy disc and replaced it with the original DVD. That way I retain all bonus material and can get rid of a useless disc AND a DVD case.

That’s about as ambitious as I get though lol. I’m not exactly a creative-type who designs covers and stuff (not to mention the cost and hassle of finding those big cases).
