I wanted to give this a separate thread; Kino/MGM will release Spaceballs on Blu-ray 4/13!
Pre-orders: Blu-ray: https://www.amazon.com/Spaceballs-4K.../dp/B08TQG37GB 4K/Blu-ray combo: https://www.amazon.com/Spaceballs-4K...dp/B08TQG37GB/ Everything from all previous DVD/Blu-ray releases (except for the original 1987 Making of Featurette from the original DVD) will be ported over. Kino has corrected the audio pitch which was a problem on the 2005 CE DVD, selected cable broadcasts, and the 4K streaming version on Amazon (he original DVD and the previous Blu-rays did not have this problem), reinstated the Wihelm scream in one scene (again, missing in the 2005 CE DVD and selected cable broadcasts), and restored/cleared the Van Halen song "Good Enough": https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...ostcount=51166 According to whether or not the Blu-ray will have the remastered 4K transfer the UltraHD will have (which unfortunately their Mad Max Blu lacked), Kino had this to say: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...ostcount=51454 "As far as I know it's the UHD SDR master of the same scan/transfer used to create the HDR Dolby Vision master." So it's possible the Blu-ray will have the new transfer.(?) ![]() |

Oh my God. I've watched this movie a million times and I never noticed during the "Now" scene (when they're looking at themselves in the tv) that on one of the shelves is all the Rocky movies. All the way up to Rocky XI by the look of it lol. Well, we're *technically* up to 8 at this point.

I received a response from Kino (as I'm sure everyone else has):
"We checked the master and we can confirm that there isn't any errors with the audio as this was the film's original audio taken straight from the source master." So what do we do now? |

The Vinegar Syndrome Blu-ray of Martial Law was also missing several lines of spoken dialogue. |

I'm confused as to these kinds of things, too. I've noticed it on streaming services a lot, too. Like, for a recent example, I've been watching Pushing Daisies on HBO Max, and there are occasionally sections where the narration is missing, but the subtitles still have the dialogue that was supposed to be there. Or scenes where it sounds like they used the on-set audio accidentally instead of looped dialogue. The sound was definitely not like that in the DVD release or the older streaming SD version. |
