Default Which upgrade? Dual subs or Atmos speakers?

I can only do 1 upgrade for now. 5.1.2 or 5.2.0? Maybe you guys can help me decide...

I live in an apartment in NYC and I don’t play my system close to reference level, probably somewhere in the -18 to -22 dbs below ref. 50/50 movies and music.
My living room is 18x13x8. I should also say that I’m perfectly happy with my setup now. I don’t find the bass lacking in any way, and with my recently acquired Lyngdorf MP40, surround steering is so good that I swear I’m hearing surround info I’ve never heard before.

I have a single JL Audio Fathom 112 sub and I’m thinking about selling it and getting dual JL Audio E-Sub e-110s ($1850 list for each) I don’t think I’ll lose any SQ going from a 12” to 10” because of room size and listening volume and the smaller footprint would make placement easier. Also, I no longer use the Fathom’s room correction because of Lyngdorf RoomPerfect.

Or...

Top Front Atmos speakers. Looking into either the Niles SI-250 or the XYZ Edge A2-300 2ch amps and probably either a pair SVS Prime Elevations or KEF Q50a. It’s a pain for me to route and hide speaker cables from the ceiling down the walls, that’s why I’ve been delaying this specific upgrade.

Either upgrade would probably cost me just about the same (around $1000). Selling my Fathom sub and it’s Sound Anchor stand for good change will help towards funding the dual subs.
