GKIDS recently licensed Hayao Miyazaki's pre-Ghibli series Future Boy Conan for an international release with a new English dub and a 4K remaster.
The 4K remaster is what entices me the most and I hope it gets a 4K UHD release from GKIDS/Shout! Factory, especially since they are doing an exciting job on the Halloween 4K UHDs. Especially if this new English dub would be in Dolby Atmos. My ideal release would have the 4K UHD in 4:3 which also includes the previous HD 16:9 remaster as an alternative, just like the Italian release but in actual 4K UHD for the 4K remasters. The video must be in 4K Dolby Vision while the audio must be in Japanese: Mono and English: Dolby Atmos. It would be exciting to have an entire TV series in 4K UHD since there aren't many of them, one I can think of is Game of Thrones, and there hasn't been an entire anime series in 4K UHD yet. |
