Is it worth purchasing this blu-ray collection of Dirty Harry https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dirty-Harry-Collection-Blu-ray-Region/dp/B002MZ1UQE/ref=sr_1_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1464653624&sr=1-1&keywords=dirty+harry+collection+blu-ray?
Might sound like a silly question but I have come across blu-ray editions of films that are worse than the DVD (like Straw Dogs 40th Ann. Edition). In that case, I've seen the DVD recommended over the blu-ray. The reviews I have read say the Dirty Harry films look their best ever on blu-ray, yet they also mention edge-enhancement being present. Is the edge enhancement a new addition or is it something that is also on the DVD edition? Is it a deal-breaker? Which to get; DVD or Blu-ray collection? Thanks! |
