my projectors res is 1024x768and i know i cant get a true 720p,despite it say ing getting 720p and 1080i.So what am i getting?

Based on the info supplied I would say you're getting 1024x768. But telling us the brand and model would help

sharp xr10x and i want to know what "p" would it be 620 640,or 680p .Just confused

all pdd's(pixel driven devices) are P even when you are connected to 1080i it will convert to p, it is the nature of the technology.

You are getting 576p if you're feeding 16x9 video.
