Default DVD reviews?

hi, the review system on the forums here is pretty helpful for blu rays and so on, I was wondering if there's a similar set of forums that has a similar sort of review system of people critiquing picture quality of DVDs and such or do I just have to rely on caps-a-holic or screen cap sites for the most part?

Not sure, but seems like the rating of PQ for DVD’s has been neglected in recent years. Seem like caps even took down some dvd references also. Too bad because many movies are not available on blu, or are prohibitively expensive. I would also like to see caps comparing streams but that will open a can of worms.

Try DVDBEAVER they have fairly solid information over past releases along with comparison to the BR. However if you are after critical mainstream crap reviews you will be out of luck but for serious classic films and many other genres there is an assload of helpful information and quality transfers etc.

There is a few other sites out there from back in the 2000s that have decent reviews as well if you go google hunting.

DVDTalk.com still reviews regular DVDs if they come in for review.

This would be nice. Many of my favorite shows get, er, underwhelming DVDs and slim hope for blus.
