Default How are the BD releases of Cobra the Animation & Princess Tutu by Sentai Filmworks?

I was curious if anyone was familiar with the overall quality of these two BD releases by Sentai Filmworks. I've heard that most of Sentai's BDs from 2010-2014 weren't very good, but for the most part they started to improve afterwards, these particular BDs were released in 2016 and 2018 respectively.

I haven't been able to find anything regarding "Cobra the Animation," but seeing as the only other option is the DVD that Sentai released at the same time I'm guessing that it's probably safe to assume that the BD is at least a step up from it.

I haven't been able to find out much about Princess Tutu either, though what little I could find was a bit concerning such as these posts on twitter. (1 2)
It sounds like there's some ghosting issues with the BD, but I'm not sure how prevalent it is throughout this release or if it's bad enough that the DVD release by ADV would be considered superior by default.

Why couldn't you just post this in the video quality thread?

I have a couple times, I assumed that nobody there knew and figured I see if a separate post would lead to any better results. I suppose it is a bit redundant in hindsight though.

I can speak to Cobra. The OVAs have some severe interlacing issues but the TV show part of the set is fine. I’m sure someone here can give you a more technical breakdown but that mostly sums it up

Just got the Sentai Princess Tutu blu and it's horrifying. I expected the normal upscaling fuzziness, and washed-out color, but the entire thing has HORRIBLE 3:2 pull-down stuttering, gave me a headache within minutes, along with frequent jaggy pixelization. I understand it's not a full remaster, and the source is older, but to screw up the framerate is unforgivable.

Never seen the show or Blu-ray so I'll trust your word but is this the 2018 release or did you get an early copy of the upcoming Steelbook?

Might be a typo, but Sentai usually updates their discs with each new SKU

2018 BD = 1080i

2021 Steelbook BD = 1080p

Sentai apparently has a not so good history with interlaced video.
