So I was doing a Hellraiser marathon these past couple of days. I finally got to Hellraiser: Hellworld the other night, and it was a huge "what the ****" moment when I saw Henry Cavill's name in the credits.

The hell was Superman doing in this? I can't believe how young he looked 8 or 9 years ago.

Casino Royale 1967 - just about everyone involved (also, I'd recommed buying that $5 Blu of it if you don't already have it)

Dahmer - Jeremy Renner - it's not the most surprising thing ever, but not many major actors get their start in DTV serial killer movies (although I could be wrong about this, in which case both BTK and GRK could use some movies, and some aspiring actors could latch on and become famous, I suppose)

Lovelace AND The Iceman - James Franco - he just popped up in everything last year, although it is Franco so maybe it's not that big a surprise

Inside Man - Willem Dafoe - it was more of a pleasant surprise, as in "ohh, Dafoe's in this? NICE!" just because I had no idea he was in it going on, and he shows up halfway through

The Invasion - Daniel Craig and Jeffrey Wright - what, being in a really great Bond movie together isn't good enough? You guys have to do a mediocore IOTBS remake too?

In all fairness, the movie that was released isn't the movie that was made initially. There really wasn't any action or special effects in the initial version, nor was there any of that horrific flash-forward editing; it was a very cerebral film. WB was quite angry, basically fired Oliver Hirschbiegel, then reshot half the movie nearly two years after it was completed.

I read the shooting script a few years back and it was fantastic. The original cut is one of my most wanted titles.
