From Scorpion and Kino Lorber comes the first ever quality disc release of the film that infamously dared to include an “any resemblance to persons living or dead...” disclaimer on the only-names-changed Kennedy/Onassis romance.

If I believed in guilty pleasures, the run of glossy soapers of my favorite era, usually based on bestsellers (though not in this case), would be among my most confessional bound. The Adventurers, The Betsy, The Other Side of Midnight...all with elements to draw, be they stacked casts often pulverizing the gorgeous scenery, great musical scores, perverse twists and more.

This has been the grail of them; it’s inexplicably only been available in its few DVD iterations in 1.33:1 with quality that was bleaker than the VHS. Having been convinced that perhaps the original version had somehow been lost and given up on ever owning it, this is a major surprise and December gift for those of us out there who are fans. Original one sheet pictured is ready to go in the home theatre case. Scorpion and KLSC continue to bring the rarities and they are much appreciated.
