Default Best Fantastic Four movie?

Which of the less-than-stellar Fantastic Four movies was the best?

For me, and I can't believe I'm about to say this, the 2005 movie. I can't, in good conscience vote for RotSS for its nonsensical ending, laughable plot and turning Galactus into a space cloud and Fant4shit is awful across the board. There are no positives for that godawful excuse of a movie, none. And we don't talk about the shitty Roger Corman film that was so bad, Marvel literally paid to keep it from being released in theaters.

I haven't seen the first one in a while, but I watched Rise of the Silver Surfer with a friend last year and it's honestly pretty good.

Surprised Rise is ahead, I thought the hate for Cloudlactus was pretty strong.

While he did suck, Silver Surfer was awesome and Doom looked cool in his Doom armor! Evans rocks it as Johnny and the Thing is awesome.

FF 2005. Always liked it, and the extended edition was good too.

I'll go with the 2005 movie too, and I agree the extended version added some good stuff. It's usually the version I'll watch. I haven't seen the second one in a while but I remember enjoying it too. Both are very light fun.

The 2015 movie was not very good, and I've never seen the Corman movie.

RotSS was ridden with galactic-sized plot holes, though, no pun intended.
[Show spoiler]The military helping the murderous psychopath Doom over the Fantastic Four (!)
was near-Uwe Boll levels of bad writing.

And sorry, but Surfer ain’t exactly spared from this, either.
[Show spoiler]Why did a plank device, of all things stop him when the F4’s collective powers and Doom’s were shown to be completely useless against him
? And
[Show spoiler]if he could stop Cloudlactus at any time, why did he conveniently wait until he was on a planet-devouring course towards earth to do so? And why was he even serving Fartcloudlactus in the first place if he’s more powerful JTDC
?

Still, it’s a masterpiece compared to Fant4shit. At least it had action and it wasn’t boring (I’m of course talking about the one-and-only fight scene with Trash Bag Imhotep Doom at the very end). Who’m I kidding? Everything in that godawful trainwreck of a film is dull and drab. It is a literal chore to sit through that movie. Trank claims his original cut was much better before it was taken away from him, but seeing how he was fired from Star Wars, showed up drunk on the set and caused tons of property damage and made that also-godawful Capone movie, I don’t believe him. I firmly believe Chromicle was him catching lightning in a bottle.

The 2005 film for me, wasn't half bad despite the criticism thrown at any FF films.

Rise of the Silver Surfer
The Surfer was cool
Alba was hot
Kerry Washington was hot
Beau Garrett was hot
Lauren Sanchez was hot
Ironically Chris Evans was not-too big for the part
Chiklis too small for the part
Gruffudd too goofy for the part
Mcmahon also miscast

I liked Tim Story's first effort quite a bit, when it first came out. My only beef was the casting of Reed and Sue, thinking Ioan was too young and Jessica was too much of a sexpot rather than a scientist. But the casting of Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis was absolutely brilliant, to the point I don't know how Marvel will improve on it for the MCU version of the characters.

As Richard Roeper said who would cast Jessica Alba as the Invisible Woman.
