Which of the less-than-stellar Fantastic Four movies was the best?
For me, and I can't believe I'm about to say this, the 2005 movie. I can't, in good conscience vote for RotSS for its nonsensical ending, laughable plot and turning Galactus into a space cloud and Fant4shit is awful across the board. There are no positives for that godawful excuse of a movie, none. ![]() |

I'll go with the 2005 movie too, and I agree the extended version added some good stuff. It's usually the version I'll watch. I haven't seen the second one in a while but I remember enjoying it too. Both are very light fun.
The 2015 movie was not very good, and I've never seen the Corman movie. |

[Show spoiler] was near-Uwe Boll levels of bad writing. ![]() And sorry, but Surfer ain’t exactly spared from this, either. [Show spoiler] ? And [Show spoiler] ? ![]() Still, it’s a masterpiece compared to Fant4shit. At least it had action and it wasn’t boring (I’m of course talking about the one-and-only fight scene with Trash Bag Imhotep Doom at the very end). Who’m I kidding? Everything in that godawful trainwreck of a film is dull and drab. It is a literal chore to sit through that movie. Trank claims his original cut was much better before it was taken away from him, but seeing how he was fired from Star Wars, showed up drunk on the set and caused tons of property damage and made that also-godawful Capone movie, I don’t believe him. ![]() Last edited by KManX89; 11-21-2022 at 06:01 AM. |

Rise of the Silver Surfer
The Surfer was cool Alba was hot Kerry Washington was hot Beau Garrett was hot Lauren Sanchez was hot Ironically Chris Evans was not-too big for the part Chiklis too small for the part Gruffudd too goofy for the part Mcmahon also miscast |

I liked Tim Story's first effort quite a bit, when it first came out. My only beef was the casting of Reed and Sue, thinking Ioan was too young and Jessica was too much of a sexpot rather than a scientist. But the casting of Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis was absolutely brilliant, to the point I don't know how Marvel will improve on it for the MCU version of the characters.
