Angry Why Fox & Lionsgates Blu-ray are only in English ???

Hi, Everyone . I live in Quebec and I speak French and English. I was wondering Why Almost all FOX and Lionsgates Blu-ray movies are only in english? The same dvds titles are in both langages (english & french) and the Blu-ray only English .

Hello its Blu-ray , D'ont tell me because they don't have the space for it. Hello 25G or 50G thats a lot of space even for 5 langages.
I know a lot of people who are interested in buying those Blu-ray but won't buy them cause its not in french. Its crazy cause they lost a lot of money just for not putting them in french langage.

So I'm asking all of you readers where can I write for Fox and Lionsgates studios to complaint about ???

Have a nice day

Good point.

I'd like to know why Lionsgate has no lossless audio tracks on their releases.

Dubbing is worthless. Watch movies in their original soundtrack, with subtitles if needed.

I just checked my Lions Gate Blu-rays and they only have English and Spanish subtitles. Maybe those first BD were catering only to a "limited" US release pattern for now as an initial wave? In my opinion if it's a region A release it should have at least subtitles in all the countries included in that region (adding also French, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, etc. for Region A), but I'm no BD CEO

I remember at the beginning of the DVD "era" several of the early DVDs only came in French and English. For example, I particulary recall finding it odd that the Universal Dracula didn't have Spanish subs for neither the English or the Spanish version of Dracula included, but having English HoH and French subtitles for both, so hearing impaired Hispanics were out of luck even on their own version.

But look, good news!: This early releases situation may be changing! Thanks to a post by Chris Beveridge we can see that a new wave of Fox titles does indeed have full English Spanish and French support: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...04&postcount=6

I think Sony is experimenting on using multiple subtitles on their BDs. As for dubbed tracks, there will be something like South American versions (Spanish and Portugese), South East Asian versions (Thai and Cantonese), Japanese and Canadian Just kidding on the last one.

I am against dubbing, it screws up the picture.
Subtitles are fine... But they distract you so you can't focus on the picture.

I am belgian, I live in the flemish region and I speak dutch. There are only a handful of dutch-spoken movies (mostly animated movies) so I hear english and see subtitles almost every time I turn on the TV...

I also prefer the original langiuage soundtrack, tho some animated films have excellent dubbings in several languages (Like Disney's). So if it's gonna eat into the quality of the video, I prefer the disc to come with that one original language track and multiple subtitles if possible. If theres extra space, then adding more soundtracks is fine too. Yeah, me, BD CEO

Because, quite simply,...the French aren't that important...pfffftt Just Kidding! Really, I am. I just couldn't resist. I'm part French myself (yeah, you wouldn't think with an Italian name like Marzetta), but I don't speak any French.

Anyhow, hopefully the future releases like those who've posted before me will cheer you up with their multi-language capabilities.
