As much as I love Bluray, I definitely hate being tired at work even more. I hit the sack last night and got a pleasant surprise when I saw the update this morning!

I wanted to stay up REAL bad last night, but I had to be up at 6:45 so I had to cash it in. First thing I did this morning though was check the site.

I went to sleep around 12:30, after the news hit... woke up around 6:45 and don't really feel that tired.

I really thought about staying up, but hit the sack just after midnight, and checked the press release this morning! Beautiful stuff... other than Toshiba saying that it will be a short-lived format, whatever, water under the bridge.

I slept like a baby through the night, knowing of the 5:00pm Toshiba press conference in Japan and what the announcement would be

. Now, the anxiety is over the Blu-ray release plans from Paramount and Universal, along with others that were HD DVD exclusive ' until last night'. I look forward to official announcements from the Studios this week. [Jim]

Last night was early to bed, very early to rise. Up for the 3AM local time announcement and never went back to sleep.

Me and a LOT of other people. I usually don't go to bed until later anyway, so I just stayed up a bit later than normal. But it was just enough to throw me out of my routine.

I already called in sick, actually - woke up kind of sluggishly, its pouring outside, flu finally got to me - so, good day to spend inside watching some BRs in celebration.

I was up all night studying for a finance test thats at 11 a m, im more than dead tired but im glad i took a break to catch the news. Off to campus, hopefully there will be some more good news when i get back.

I wish I could be more pumped, by my minor sniffle yesterday turned into a full blown sinus infection/head cold....bleh....So between cough drops, and Vicodin (for my back, not recreation, mind you---no...seriously) I'll be knocked out, wrapped in blanket with blu sugar plums dancing about my head. Congrats to all of you, we stuck it out, we believed in our choice, and we were lucky. Like what's been said by others....there's going to be some anorexic wallets in the blu community this summer and xmas season.

I salute you all

Now I have to go rest...going to be hard to resist the temptation to get up every five minutes to check what's happening here...oh woe is me

What if you had stayed up and then the announcement had been that they have got full studio and hardware support back and then BDA announced they were killing off Blu-Ray?
