Some copies of the GKIDS UHD/BD Collector's Edition use the incorrect artwork for the 1080p BD disc (artwork with main character Hodoka from standard edition instead of a sunset). Shout Factory has set up a replacement program for affected customers

Region lock only applies to NA release. UK release is not region locked and presumably also the FR/AU releases that use the same authoring materials.

I also hope Anime Ltd. would re-release Your Name. in 4K in the UK.
Maybe Madman can also release Your Name. in 4K in Australia, since they used Anime Ltd's UK master for the Blu-ray.
It's with Funimation in the US so it's up to them for a 4K release in America and I'm not sure if Funimation and Anime Ltd. are willing to collaborate like with GKIDS.

It looks like Zavvi's 4K Deluxe Edition Steelbook contains the same disc content and a similar (or identical) booklet, with this release's art as the Steelbook art, and a stunning slipbox as well. I'll stick with that set.

It does.

The disc is being handled by Duplitech, who does Shout's discs, as well as many of Kino's. They did The Deer Hunter, and I think they also did Hannibal as well, so they've got a great track record for compression. (Deer Hunter has atrocious posterisation, but that's in the master, I'd bet) Outside of Justin doing it, you can't ask for any better.

Zavvi is OOS, it was limited to 1000 copies. Sold out the first day.

I'm hoping that at some point there will be a standalone 4K release. The 4K sets look nice but I'm really trying to maximize shelf space.

There won't be a standalone release due to licencing agreements.

Deciding if I want to wait for this or not. Ill probably buy the digital on 8/4 (really want to rewatch this) & then buy this in Nov.

I managed to pre-order the UK set but I want to support Shout/GKIDS going 4K. I liked the movie but I don't know if I have the stomach to buy both editions for comparison. Has there been any indication that the US 4K set will be quantity limited like the UK one was?

In regards to the US digital release, it’s looks like only iTunes/Apple TV will support both audio options within one title (both languages are listed as options). The other VOD providers (Amazon, FandangoNow) are listing separate titles for each audio option. Google Play doesn’t list language information yet. It’s possible that iTunes/Apple TV may have the bonus features available digitally as with some of GKIDS’ other titles (Promare, Mirai, etc.) but the listing does not currently indicate that iTunes Extras will be available.

While the set as labeled as a limited edition, there is no numerical limit named in the press release.

I think people confuse limited time with limited piece, and studios don't particularly help either, where one just won't be made forever and the other only had a specific number made. I hope there's enough where I can get it, but I have to sell some stuff first lol
