The preliminary information from Film Media was that these are not the explicit versions, but I have not yet seen the disc.

The uncut version DVD that Amazon has listed says 140 minutes. The new blu ray version is listed at 103 minutes. If that sucker is cut that bad I'll just stick with my old DVD. I'm waiting for confirmation before I order this for sure.

Edit: I just went back to check and the unrated cut on Amazon is 140 minutes and the R rated cut is 115 minutes (both DVD). That would mean this new Blu-ray version is considerably shorter than either. I'll wait on this one.

Lots of conflicting info regarding the runtime...I've seen 87min, 103min, 107min, and 115min.

Did anybody buy this? I'm curious as to the actual run time (cut/uncut?) and quality of the Blu-ray.

If I'm getting this, I want it full strength.

I assume you mean 103-minute version (1:42:59 to be exact) although that run-time was already confirmed in the post I linked from 10/1 (which also, as BluVinyl pointed out, advertised it as uncut). If you are interested, there are two other reviews linked in the Film Media discussion thread, though the Web 1.0 layouts employed by both sites can be a bit of a headache.

I thought Vampire Ecstasy looked excellent, but I should probably re-watch it sober before a final review.

Not sure why you should watch it sober, maybe slightly buzzed would be OK.

Yeah, it looks really great. Great colors and photography, and the transfer strikes me as similar to the best Kino releases, like the Rollin films. Maybe just a tad brighter (but not like some of the brighter looking UK BDs), which seems just about perfect.
Has some slow pacing, like Rollin, but when you settle into it, I found it really great (watched twice with moderate amount of booze).
And the reviews are right, from what the producer commentary and interviews say, that this is uncut. These two films were "soft-core" from the start. But VE pushes the envelope for it's time.
The other film is presented as an extra (in HD) from a sometimes beaten up source, but mostly looks good anyway. It's a pretty interesting and unique pic in itself, but VE definitely has a lot of re-watch value, IMO.
