Don't know much about this second The Vampire Diaries spin-off, other than it seems to be centered around Hope Mikaelson and the Saltzman twins. I still can't believe the Originals is already over. I hope this new show is somewhere between the quality of TVD and the first spin-off. Consider the Klaus Mikaelson show to be the best vampire show ever.

Oh right, this new show premieres October 25th.

As much as i like Vampire Stuff and Fantasy from that kind. I think this will fail!!

Because TVD and The Originals were the best shows ever? I think of they do it right, it could last a while...

I have hopes but the Julie Plec team ran out of steam after season 6 of TVD and season 4 of The Originals. So it's an excitement but a tentative one, especially due to the events of the haunting Originals series finale.

I never watched any of the Vampire Diaries episodes or its spinoff.

However I happened to catch the "Pilot" of this and was hooked it's like Harry Potter & the Xavier's school for the gifted meets your typical HS drama.

It's more like what I wanted The Magicians to be.

Is no one else watching this? The CW recently received a Season Two renewal!

I've really enjoyed this and its my favorite new show this year. It has a lot in it that I loved about "Buffy" in regards to the chemistry and witty banter among the cast. So for the writing has been really good. IMO

I will be watching it once it comes to Netflix this summer.

I was a big vampire diaries and originals fan but legacies is just ok. You have Hope who is this all powerful tribrid but every week she is worthless.

Also making MG a ripper like Stefan is kind lame.

I’m not paying for CW shows on iTunes anymore (unless Lucy Hale is in them), so I’m waiting for it to come to Netflix.

I really enjoy it, but to me it's just one of those shows that don't really need to be discussed. Every episodes is more of less self-contained except for the ongoing Triad and Malavore stuff but those aren't really aspects you can discuss and theorize about, they're too mysterious. I think it's better than the last few seasons of The Vampire Diaries though, I personally like the creature Hogwarts aspect of it, even though most of the stuff seems to happen out of school, and barely even in the same state.

The Originals was dropped on BD because of poor sales, so I think Legacies will be given a trial period and s1 will get released and they'll see about future seasons based on those sales.

I am waiting, as well.. DVDs cannot do this show justice. It needs a Blu Ray Release. There are Soo many scenes shot in low light, all of the detail gets lost in the compressed broadcast. Not to mention the soundtrack is pretty cool, too.

Ill admit I was skeptical about Legacies at first because I thought it was going to be another CW "trying too hard" show, like Riverdale, and I cant stand the pretend formula that is just constant adult fighting, bickering and blackmailing that seems to pass off as "dark and edgy" on TV.

I was pleasantly surprised, I got the same Xmen/Harry Potter vibe.

I knew of the Hope Mikaelson character from some of the mini pieces of the The originals episodes i saw, and thought she was interesting, but that show was really about the adults. She was brought in to basically give them something to do. And quite frankly, she outshined alot of them.

The actress that plays Hope, Danielle Rose Russell, is fantastic, and this being her first lead role, She Does NOT disappoint. Hope is a complex character and Anytime she is onscreen she is just awesome. Plus, The sweet innocent chemistry she has with her costar, Landon, is really refreshing and definitely gives you the awwws.

Legacies has become my favorite new show for the season, (The new Charmed series being second.. would love to see a crossover) and I cant wait for season 2.

The thing is I never watched any of the previous two shows so its all new to me.

I take it the CW's deal with NetFlix is now over for existing shows as well?

Season 3 of Legacies was supposed to be up on NetFlix July 2nd, but still isn't there.

Not sure. I believe it will still end up on Netflix.
