Dragonheart: Vengeance (2020)

Lukas (Jack Kane), a young farmer whose family is killed by savage raiders in the countryside, sets out on an epic quest for revenge, forming an unlikely trio with a majestic dragon and a swashbuckling, sword-fighting mercenary, Darius (Joseph Millson). Helena Bonham Carter voices Siveth, the ice breathing dragon who was once banished from the kingdom for failing to save the king's life. Compelled by the young man's cause, she emerges from hiding, using her fantastical powers on the trio's adventurous journey which brings revelations and rewards beyond vengeance. Dragonheart: Vengeance is an exciting action-adventure filled with fantasy and humor that will thrill the entire family.

I'm a big fan of the original, and even imported the US BD rather than buy the UK release, but after watching the second Dragonheart i've lost count of how many of these things they have made. Moderately successful films spawning a plethora of direct-to dvd sequels seems to be the go-to for Universals bargain basement entertainment department...

Shame there isn't a remastered Blu-ray of the original film. Looks atrocious.

IIRC, there is a new release coming out in Germany soon. remastered / remixed audio but not sure about video

Honestly, it's probably one of the better sequel-prequels this series has had. It at least as the best special effects of the prequels (even though the "Elsa" dragon design is basically a slightly modified blue version of the one used in the last sequel).

Also the credits say it's edited by Chuck Norris!!!

So...Dragonheart 5-Film Collection on Blu-Ray...due in a week...selling for $19.99.

So we get the original classic, the decent sequel, and the DTV films after that...$4/movie really isn't a bad deal if you want a niche fantasy series.

I agree. I have yet to see any of the sequels but I remember enjoying the original. I do not own any of them so $20 for all 5 is too good to pass up for me. Looking forward to them.

I have the DVD set of these, but noticed that the 2nd movie is full screen on the old set but widescreen on this blu ray set.

I got the 5 movie set today at Walmart. I've seen the first two but have yet to see 3-5. Hoping to watch these soon
