Do Movies Matter?

I think the art of film does matter & I know much of you would agree.But IYHO do think movies should be considered important & mattering please do go in to detail.

I think Movies are the ultimate Art form the artist has full creative control and unlike a book(which I don't read any but I still respect them) has so more effort in the art.Music still respectable doesn't have as much to offer in terms of art like a film does.Video games allow the user to change the art and that makes it less to me.
