20th Century Fox Ice Age: Collision Course 3D Blu-ray (2016) [Region Locked]

I saw this one yesterday. 3-D strength was medium to high-medium with some strong shots on occasion. A few nice popouts with the weasel character pointing a knife or a stick at the audience.

The movie was okay. The plot was thin and jokes didn't always connect, but it was still entertaining.

This is probably the one that kills the series, but as a 3D fan, it's already pre-ordered.

Thanks Revgen for the 3D details.
Some of the outerspace stuff looks like stronger 3D layering in the 3D trailer, though I didn't get to see the film itself.

Collision Course was my favorite of the 3. Very entertaining from start to finish. Great 3D, cute jokes and lovable characters. I would definitely recommend this to those of you who are on the fence about it. It is really a cute movie.

As much as I loved the Ice Age franchise when it first began, I can't help but hope you're right about that. The first film was amazing, the next two weren't bad, and the fourth was mediocre. I never saw this one, but the reviews were atrocious and the (domestic) box office terrible. On a $105 million budget, it only pulled in $64M when none of the previous entries ever did under $160M. Unfortunately, the international box office managed to push it over the $400M mark, so another sequel is still entirely possible even though North American audiences have clearly had enough of the franchise.

Had the UHD release been a 4K+3D+BD combo I'd probably still have purchased this in order to support the inclusion of 3-D discs in UHD sets, but since it didn't I'm not going to bother buying any version.

Saw this in the movies with my 9yo daughter who normally likes anything. Afterwards she commented about how boring it was. Had to agree with her. Needless to say, I'll be saving my money on this one.

Good to hear the 3D is worthwhile from the sound of it.

This is one to add to the collection when it gets a nice price drop. Not worthy of the 24.99 price tag.

Rounded off the Ice Age 3D films with this one. This is probably the worst one. Dawn of the Dinosaurs is not great but not horrible, the fourth one is actually surprisingly quite a decent movie, and then this one fumbles again by being not horrible but also just not really very entertaining or engaging, with so much failed humour.

The 3D is okay, but not magnificent enough to make up for the movie. Can’t imagine I would watch this again, whereas I would probably watch Dawn of the Dinosaurs again, and definitely rewatch Continental Drift.

Totally agree, this movie is hot mess. I can't stand it. I remember how much i was looking forward to it and then the enormous let down. It sits on the shelf collecting dust, never to be viewed again.

Actually the first one is my favorite even without 3D. That story has so much heart, is imaginative and with great touches of humor that it's one of my all time favorite animated movies.

Diego is my favorite character. As the series progressed they seemed to have him less and less. I thought it was sweet when he met Shira and the writers, IMO, should have given them more story time.
There's too much of Sid and, for my tastes anyways, he gets old pretty quickly.

I also don't care for the addition of Ellie, Crash, Eddie and finally Peaches.
It changed the dynamic of the core characters friendship.

Crash and Eddie are just the worst, laziest and most cringeworthy characters. I imagine most kids wouldn’t even be impressed by them unless they’re two years old. The script for this movie was so weak it made me feel better about my own creative endeavours. I mean, based on this script, basically anyone in the world could land a screenwriting gig in Hollywood!

Yeah Crash and Eddie make me want to

Too bad we can't have a "do over" on this with you as the screenwriter. I'd certainly watch it!
