Default Wrong Turn series... any good?

I recently picked up the 6th installment on Blu-ray. I wasn't really even trying to buy it, I just wanted to see if Best Buy would sell it to me because, apparently, some people on here had issues trying to buy it in stores because the studio has issued a recall of the film. Now I have the sixth film without having seen any of the others, outside of the original with Eliza Dushku. So now I'm thinking about buying the first 5 films on Blu. How would you guys rank this series against other horror series, such as the Saw franchise? Is there a continuing, connected storyline that spans the series or is each film just a standalone movie?

Only the first one was worth anything.

I've only seen the first one as well (and liked it) but the consensus on here seems to be that it's a guilty pleasure series, not for everyone.

I think some of inbreeders are the same, but no....none of the stories are connected.

One is the best, although my girl Lindy Booth needed more screentime.

Second one is decent, mostly cause Henry Rollins.

3 had some really bad acting, 4 was a prequel that was so insultingly awful I never watched the rest.

Best Buy had the first three in a set for $9.99 at Halloween.

I really enjoyed the first two. The rest aren't that good. The 6th was the worst. Thought it was downright terrible.

I figure it won't hurt to start with the first three and see what I think. I've seen the first but it was so long ago I barely remember it. It helps that they're pretty cheap on Amazon right now.

I thought that the first 3 movies were pretty good. I disliked the 4th. I have never seen the 6th one. I didn't know they even had/made a 6th Wrong Turn movie.

First four are fun. Five didn't quite work out and the sixth was pretty decent until the ending.

The first was good, I turned off the 2nd instalment 50 mins in.

Skipped the rest. I heard the 6th is the worst movie ever by some people.

Would this series be comparable to the Joy Ride series? Both original films in each series had theatrical releases, with all subsequent sequels being DTV.

I thought the first two were good. I haven't seen the others. But those are worth seeing, IMO. They're not going to blow your mind, or anything. But certainly entertaining.
