Default Shaun the Sheep Movie 2

Quote:
A sequel to the Oscar-nominated animated movie “Shaun the Sheep Movie,” which grossed $106 million worldwide, is in the works, with Aardman once again teaming with Studiocanal as producing partners. Richard Starzak, who directed the first pic, is on board once more, as is producer Paul Kewley. Pre-production will start in January.

David Sproxton, Aardman’s co-founder and executive chairman, said: “Shaun’s move to the big screen proved such a success with audiences around the world that he and the flock are very excited to be embarking on another big-screen adventure. Aardman is partnering with Studiocanal once again to produce another rip-roaring comedy, featuring Shaun and the rest of the gang in a story that takes them to even greater heights of lunacy.”

I'm not sure underrated means what you think it means. The first one currently has 99% on RT.

What I meant by it, is the fact that lots of people skipped it because they saw it as a movie targeted at toddlers and wouldn't even consider checking it out. Also, many opinions on the most common movie related sites were a bit condescending (?) towards Shaun, even when they were being positive about it. Like they felt a bit uncomfortable by admitting it was simply great. Going "...at least, for a kids movie." at the end. Almost apologizing for liking it. A strange thing. At least, that was my impression. Multiple times. But I admire Shaun, cause I actually think it's great in every single way. Getting this fantastic result out of a simple idea like is the case here, with almost no dialogue at all? Thumbs way up. I would have liked it to be the big hit it deserved to be, specially when compared with some other animated box office successes that year. I recommend Shaun to everyone, all ages.

I was aware of the RT score, perhaps another word is more suitable, true, fair enough. English isn't my native language.

The first one was quite delightful. Happy to hear we're getting another one.

I'm a big Aardman fan as well as someone that watches films from the silent era.......and enjoyed the movie and will certainly see the next one.

And while it was very good. "Great" in some respects is perhaps a little over the line.

It has a high rotten tomatoes rating, because who in their right mind would call it terrible? But it also doesn't have an 8+ star rating on IMDB, because it wasn't absolutely great on all fronts.

I'm thrilled it was successful as it means they can make more movies like it.

Surprisingly loved this movie. It's very British and that's awesome. It has charm, heart and easter eggs/references that not many people will catch. It plays to kids and adults alike, and is actually a fun ride!

Never took issue with anything that was shown. Fantastic kids movie. 4/5.

Bring on Chicken Run 2!
