DiricTV Dolby Content

Hello Again,

Does anybody understand why DiricTV has so little DD on HD programing? They have a moderate amount on the non HD movie channels but not much on the HD movie channels and that includes network shows that advertise they are being broadcast in HD 5.1.

I get great DD from my blu ray player and the occasional non HD movies and the odd HD movie channel so I'm sure its not my equipment or set up.

Is there a band width issue here or should I call DiricTV to *****?

WELL AS A RESULT OF THE RESPONSES I LOOKED AT THE ISSUE WITH NEW EYES (EARS) AND HERE IS WHAT I DISCOVERED.

THE PROGRAM GUIDE ON DTV IDs DD CONTENT FAIRLY CONSISTANTLY ON HBO CHANNELS BUT HARDLY EVER ON THEIR HD CHANNELS. IN FACT ALMOST ALL HD CHANNELS ARE 5.1 OF SOME TYPE. AFTER LEARNING MORE ABOUT MY NEW ONKYO 705 IT TURNS OUT IT CAN ID THE SOUND COMING IN FROM EACH SOURCE AND EVERY CHANNEL. MY BAD. I HOPE OTHER POSTS DON,T GO OFF AS HALF COCKED AS ME. LIVE AND LEARN.
