Default Ben 10: Ultimate Alien volume 1- Now canceled

Ben 10: Ultimate Alien will be released January 11th and will include 10 episodes. Can't wait to get this on Blu-ray and now all I need is Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc and Unnatural History for Cartoon Network shows.

Not a fan of the series, but hopefully this means good things for future Cartoon Network releases. Would REALLY like to get Batman: Brave and the Bold on blu.

Awesome. Haven't seen Ultimate Alien at all and DVRd some but I'll delete them and wait for this (I'll watch the first one to make myself want to see more and want to buy this more )

Loved Ben 10 as a kid and like Alien Force now, fantastic series.

Nice. Animation on Blu is always a good thing. I'll definitely be picking this one up. I really hope they put Batman:Brave and the Bold on Blu.

Wow, a BD of this is a pleasant surprise. I'm not interested in the show myself, but hopefully it is a good sign of what's to come from WB animation.

Thumbs down Ben 10 Ultimate Alien

What on Earth is Warner thinking?! Lossy 5.1 audio I could expect, since they've remained stubborn on that point. But 1080i? Are you kidding me? Clone Wars is a Cartoon Network series too- that gets 1080p like anything else but not this?!

I've liked Ben 10 for a while now, but seriously? Forget this. Besides, so far Ultimate Alien isn't as good anyway. In fact once Ben became became all cocky and full of himself in the third season of Alien Force the show has been in some trouble.

I Agree I'm Truly Hoping That Their So Called "Cancel" of The Blu-Ray Was Less of A Cancel & More Just A Movement of The Release Date. Cuz' I Squealed Like A Little Girl With Excitement of The Blu-Ray Release. I Own All of The Original Series & All the Movies, (AlienSwarm I Own On Blu-Ray AND DvD), And All of The
Alien Force Series and on DVD-without a single scratch on a single disc- And When I Do Scratch Them, I Don't Settle For Disc Repairs, I Get New Ones! And Even Though I Was Hoping For A Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack (My only Major Complaint To All of You At CartoonNetwork, Otherwise I'm Satisfied), I'll Just Buy Both!!!! And If You're Thinking I'm A Crazy Childish Adult, I'm Not, I'm A 13 Year Old Kid Who Almost Thinks Ben 10 Should Be A Freakin' !RELIGION! I Love You CartoonNetwork!

It's on backorder and would most likely stay on backorder forever until you canceled your order.

Best Buy having an item to order means nothing. They will take orders for products that have been out of print for years and then cancel on you after three weeks. Once an item gets put in their database, it never seems to leave. That includes products announced but never released.

As for this release and a possible Blu-ray release for Batman: The Brave & The Bold, you can probably blame Walmart for them not being released. Most Cartoon Network properties on home video that skew younger are handled by the Family entertainment division within Warner. Almost all of their releases are dictated by what Walmart will carry on their shelves and at what price points. As the overall home media market has shrunk, most children's properties have been cut down in size and scope.

Thumbs up My quite possible theory...

I've seen this done before and so this could quite possibly be warner's business plan on the subject of the so-called cancel, another publisher promised a Blu-Ray release of one of my favorite shows, but once the release date hit they announced a cancel, after they released the entire series on DVD boxsets instead they then Re-Released the thought to be cancelled blu-ray version, they later honestly announced that they believed that if they released both at the same time almost all blu-ray buyers would scramble toward the blu-ray version and leave the DVD release in the dust, so they released the dvd's first so they could soak as much money as possible out of it and THEN RELEASED THE BLU-RAY AND soaked as much out of IT as possible and so i have simply chosen to buy the DVD's for now, because I am too impatient to wait for Blu-Ray only and when/if blu-ray is released I'll buy that too!!

Wink

So don't lose faith, my brethren!!!!, even if I must wait 20 years I won't care as long as someday down the road I can get my hands on this, and if they Re-release the original series on blu-ray and and the alien force series as well that would be cool, it could even be a cartoonnetwork hall of fame release ten years from now! as far as I know the original series was, at it's best, 960x720 in frame size but that mighthave been just the highest broadcast resolution and not the actual production frame dimensions.I would trade my soul, "", for a complete blu-ray release of every ben 10 series and movie.

Warner does put a wider variety of programs on Blu-ray than other studios, but the chances of seeing a Blu-ray now for Ben 10 are nil.
