Could someone explain how this works? I have accumulated some points that I want to use at a particular store but I'm not sure how to go about getting the certificate. Say if I had 500 points what amount would be about to get on as a certificate?

Once there, under the "My Stuff tab" you should see an icon representing the store that you got the certificate for. For example, if you redeemed points for a BB cert, you should see a BB icon there. Click the icon and a screen with a code should appear. The cashier has to type in that code at the register. Unfortunately, there is no bar code the the cashier has to manually type it in, and it's like 30 digits long. |

I often stop by Best Buy on my way home from work. Go to the front entrance and get my walk in points.
Google shopkick barcodes and the first site has a updated list of barcodes you can scan. You can get to 1250 in no time. Just make sure to scan other stores. Do this for about 4 days. 1250 points is a $5 reward. |

Unfortunately, I don't have an iPhone or other smart phone and am using an iPad2 and it seems that the walk-in points don't seem to work with the iPad2, even though it has a mic (and I think the walk-ins are recognized via a high frequency emitter that is detected when you are in range). Well, whatever the reason, my walk-in points never work, whether I'm on a 3G signal or the store's wifi network. I am left trying to accumulate points by tapping on those 1-2 pt bubbles in my nearby stores list, collecting 5-10 pt bonus items in my bonus board, and by scanning. It's excruciating and I think it takes me like a month to get the 500 pts for a $2 cert if there are enough things for me to scan at BB. Has anybody gotten the walk-in points to work with an iPad2? |

Then I think you just launch the app, tap the bubble that has the walk in points, and I think the points will be added to your account. At least that's how I think it's supposed to work. It's never worked for me on my iPad2. |

I live across a BBY, Macy's and Michael's. My commute goes through another mall with another BBY, Sports Authority, and Crate n Barrel. Just lucky in where I'm located. When I went to NoCal, there was even more opportunities since their Targets, Toys r Us, etc. had walk-in as well. I was stopping in on the way home from work for that week. Plus, they had 180-kick walk-in's at Target one day. I think I eventually cashed out $30 of certs that week! Quote:
For me, by the time I get to the movies section, the walk-in points have already been added. |
