Not bad. I wonder if the 40th anniversary is just for the Steel or if the disk is new

dang if they are going to do a steelbook for the 40th anniversary of each film... we will be waiting to complete the collection for quite some time...

Are you basing it on the picture or something else? The same thing was thought about the first movie's Steelbook, as the picture made it appear to be a Metal pack, but it turned out to be a Steelbook after all. It would be pretty odd for them to be inconsistent, and actually do a metal pack now.

Awesome! Picking this up too! I still have the first steelbook from part 1 sealed.
This SHOULD be a steelbook because people said the same thing about the part 1 steelbook, that it was a metal pack, but it's not.

I wonder if they will release all the Friday the 13ths from paramount in steelbook format. I have the first one that was released last June and also just bought the whole shout factory collection recently so I'm not sure if I want to buy this or other future Friday the 13th individual steelbooks that may come out. I was planning to put the first steelbook in the collectors box and replace the regular case but it will not fit unless I remove the bonus disc. And now with this steelbook both of them will not fit in the collectors box.

Similar situation here, I was happy to buy just the first film in steelbook form to put next to the SF set and Crystal Lake Memories, but I can't really justify having the SF set AND the full series in steelbooks. Will probably have to pass on the rest of the series... we'll see if I have the strength

Considering this is from Paramount, and will therefore be the same old disc, this is an easy pass. I have the SF Complete Collection, which has better discs, and already takes up plenty of shelf space. I wonder if Paramount continues this pattern: Will they add embossing to play into the 3-D gimmick of Part 3? What will they do with Parts 5-8, that are on double feature discs?
