I am thrilled this is going to be released. I have fond memories of seeing this for the first time and am very happy to see it's getting a blu ray release. I thought it was one of Carol Kane's best performances.

Just got an email promoting a new 4K restoration coming from Cohen. I assume this will arrive on disc alongside their delayed release of Silver's A Fish in the Bathtub.

Kane stars as Gitl, one half of an Eastern European Jewish couple alongside Yankel (Steven Keats). Upon arriving in New York’s Lower East Side in the late 19th century, Gitl finds that her husband, who’d come to America before her with their young son, has acclimated to their new country fairly well—but he has also begun an affair with a dancer, and Gitl finds herself in an unenviable situation in a strange new place. Cohen's 4K restoration trailer for the film. Looks incredible. I imagine we'll see a BD announcement for this sooner than later, though you never can tell with Cohen.
