Injustice (2021) will get a 4K release from Warner on October 19.

I believe the Injustice universe has become very popular, so an animated adaptation makes sense.

I imagine this'll be like all the other DC animated, but those CGI cinematic trailers for these games were really cool and I'd love to see a movie done in that style.

So I wonder how much of each (video game and comic) they are adapting? I remember liking the video game concept when it was first announced, but after playing it, it was really missing the blood/gore/fatalities from the Mortal Kombat line. Always felt incomplete to me.

I had heard that the story was actually really good, so I grabbed the first trade paperback, but they quickly put out more comics, and at least one or two sequels to the video game.

I definitely didn't envision them making a movie out of this.

I guess this is the steelbook, and they have skipped the "Gods Among Us" in the title. Correct me if I am wrong. Release date October 19. Can a moderator remove "Gods Among Us" in the thread name?

The comics were pretty good in the beginning but went way off the rails later, so hopefully they stick to the earlier stuff. In general I like these DC animated movies, so I'll probably get this to go with all the other 4Ks.

Edit: Dont know if I'll go for the steel though since I tend to be able to get the normal 4Ks pretty cheap after release.

Looks like the regular release has the same artwork as the Steelbook. Same as what happened with "Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms".

I haven't seen any news for the regular bd, we're still gonna get one right?
I honestly feel 4K doesn't really go well with hand-drawn animation.

I know, I can see that.
I usually buy all DC animated movies on black friday when they're 6 or less, and the regular blurays usually hit that price range regardless they're new releases or not.
Therefore why I'm asking if there will be a regular bluray release.
