Not a Soulslike fan, Stellar Blade notwithstanding, but I like the wuxia feel to the combat in this.

I think my browser is up tp date and supports YouTube

I hate when there's this BS going on with YouTube links. Is it the same game shown off at the State of Play?

I had a look on the YouTube app on my phone and it strongly reminds me Nioh. I kinda gave up finishing that but always meant to return. This looks pretty solid on the visual front though and combat seems interesting.

I'm so tired of this camera. Tired of not knowing what I back into and having to adjust much more because it's so close to the character.

Obviously no jump button again. Really agile character doesn't know how to jump. Could have had more variety with wide cam and platform mechanics. Fighting will get tiresome, again.

Why would I? The decline in all media is real.

KNEW what new God of War was gonna be from that first gameplay-story trailer. Was obvious that jumping would be removed due to cam and primary actions would be moved to shoulder buttons and triggers due to cam. Lock-on is cool, but locking cam as well is ass because it limits other mechanics. So many delusional Souls fans thinking the character unable to look back while circling around enemy is fine. Tired of that, and here you have even less visibility.

Can't tell if the cam whips to the left at 1:32 because of where enemy is or because the devs manually moved it at the end of the flurry, but cam will be hectic/unwieldy again as it follows enemies.

Can still make keeping safe position in environment challenging while keeping cam wide and separated from lock-on by building better AI, could have them work together to cut you off, push you to the drop or spikes. "I can see myself backing towards the drop, need to get around these *******s" better than "Oh, I fell because forgot there was a drop there and moron character can't turn neck."

Having watched the latest trailer, there was a few scenes of stutter.

really like the visuals

Gameplay looks awesome and some of the parrying looks great just wonder how much button mashing it'll be vs. skill.

I think it might err a bit more on the "button mashing" with the type of speed it showed off but combat wise in terms of getting hit and damaged, i wouldn't be surprised if it ran a bit more like Bloodborne did where you get a big chunk of damage and maybe can reheal within a window.

It looks solid though. Definitely piqued my interest although it's definitely a very limited looking colour pallette.

This game stood out at the show IMO. It's not ground breaking, but I liked the gory, horror combat aspect to it. I'm not easily convinced these days however, and will wait for more previews and gameplay to see if it's something I can support or not on day 1. It looked good though IMO.

I watched this same video. I did read a follow-up afterwards that the version of the game being demoed to journalists had them playing with an OP’ed character build, with its stats set way higher than what players would experience when the game launches. They did so since they were only giving each journalist a set amount of time to play the game, and didn’t want them to spend their entire time with the game dying.

I might check this out at some point, but Souls-Like games are already releasing in an over-abundance.

The guy in the video specifically said it's not a Souls game at all. He said it's more akin to DMC.

Probably more akin to like Sekiro or Bloodborne than a Souls game. Difficulty-wise, it will more than likely be in-line with a Souls game. DMC games aren’t necessarily easy either. I mean, the devs mentioned that their biggest influences for the game were Bloodborne, Sifu and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. So if really hard games turn you off, this might still not be for you.

I’m personally fine with it if they give us difficulty options. There was no mention of that by the devs while the game was shown. I’ve played through a few of the Souls games now, but I have to be in a specific mood to play something that difficult. I felt the same way about the NinJa Gaiden games in the past.

Looks like this one is still a few years out from release.

Like Sekrio is the benchmark if I could get those visuals with sekiros polish and maybe even more movement to learn and pay attention too but the polish will be the key

I haven't got around to playing Sekiro myself yet, but it definitely looks interesting however i don't think FromSoftware have ever bothered to sort their engine out and frame pacing issues still persist to this day up to Elden Ring.

That said, i think it's more than a good time for gamers that are really into these games.

Thats where Sekiro is miles above anything they've done the polish is there in the combat compared to elden etc.
