It seems that this film is no longer available (either in Blu-ray or DVD), despite apparently being released in November. I even rented it from Lovefilm. I'd like to pick it up for my niece. Can anybody shed some light on this for me?

Thanks

Very strange indeed... it vanished. Anyway, there's always the region free Universal, which was even cheaper a week ago. Fabulous flick.

Glad i ordered it yesterday in the 2 for £25 deal and it's still listed on the HMV site but saying now ''back in stock within a week'' so fingers crossed you should be able to get one soon.

Xtra-vision ship to UK and they do beat HMV UK on some prices. Takes around 3 or 4 days for orders to reach UK as they post from Dublin according to the postage label.

The US version is region free if you had to go that route. Packaging isn't as nice as the UK edition however.

Came in here to post about the lack of availability of this recently released title. Is it very popular and relatively few copies available, or is there another reason for its relative absence from online stores?

Very strange indeed.

I've just taken a punt on it from HMV in the 2 for £25 deal. Hope it turns up. Very surprised it went out of stock so quickly.

Was it a limited run on Blu or something? I haven't read anything official. There are a couple of copies in my local HMV and I'm really tempted to go and grab it on lunch just so I have it.

I can only imagine that it was a limited run - no idea why though. Very strange indeed.

Thinking about picking this up, seems like a good choice for exhausted boxing day entertainment, how does it compare to the stuido's previous film The Secret Of Kells ? Apart from the animation style i wasn't to keen about it.

Says back in stock within a week on HMV, any idea how long it's been saying that? The Hobbit EE trilogy is oos everywhere too.

I just ordered this on Rakuten though, 10% off with the code XMAS10 plus double reward points.

The other half saw this on the shelf the other day and seemed really interested in it so it'll make a nice little Christmas present for her

I placed my order on the 2nd then saw comments on here about this title being unavailable the next day and and i posted the message about HMV being sold out and getting stock within a week so if they are telling the truth stock should be back in soon or it's a standard message they put on a title when out of stock

Yeah it's a beautiful film alright. I wasn't a huge fan of Kells either.
