Will Eternals end up fresh or rotten on Rotten Tomatoes by release date? As of Saturday evening, it stands at 60%. This poll will close on 11-04-2021 at 06:42 PM.

Not going to vote, because **** this thread.

I'm just going to point out that the worst reviewed MCU movie is getting compared to SZJL. In more than one review. It actually seems like a consensus that this is the most like a DC movie thematically.

Peak DC is the worst MCU can do?

I'll wait until someone brings up the box office prediction thread

ZSJL at 71% will still rank higher than Eternals. So what one critic said isn't necessarily the consensus.

DCEU has 3 at 90% of higher, so the DCEU "peak" is higher than ZSJL, as far as critics are concerned.

Also have to keep in mind that this is the lowest reviewed MCU movie. So everybody can think of their least favorite MCU movie, and wonder what it means that this is rated lower than it.

The Suicide Squad and (sometimes) Shazam are the only DC movies worth watching more than once (of course IMO)

But there are people who think ZS is the best DC can do

BVS is one of my most-rewatched superhero movies. I think only the Chris Reeve Superman movies and Spider-Man 2 have more views from me. Mainly because the Reeve movies were almost the only superhero movies out there for 20 years. And I could never look at another Batman movie after the horrific Batman Returns, until Batman Begins won me back into the fold.

Feel bad for Angelina, this being her first superhero film. Maybe she should find a way to migrate over to DC.

Defend what? People are trying to debate facts? lol.

I've already said why I think the score is so low, but people wanted to post every time a review comes in, either gloating or trolling. And then started another thread to either gloat or troll, who knows these days.

basically, this movie had some awards hype. I read and listened to (non-super hero) people talk about how this might be a contender for some awards. Mixed with the critical hype, is the prestige the cast and crew come with.
it's either too similar to the MCU formula, or not enough (some reviews say different things).

What am I going to defend, the RT score? It is what it is. That's a fact. My reasoning above will be an educated opinion. I'll admit it tempered my expectations a bit, because the hype and the first trailer made it seem like it could be a prestigious CBM...now I'll go in thinking it'll be a regular CBM.
