I just saw this listing now and I'm very curious too if Universal will provide us a new transfer.

The film btw, I enjoyed very much.

It'll be great if they give this a 4K master and not Back to the Future, by which I mean it will be terrible.

I never bought the original release due to the extremely poor PQ, even if this isn't a new remaster, I would happily settle for a NON-DNR'd and EE to death version of the original master, although a new scan whether 2 or 4k would be greatly appreciated.

My hats off to Universal for making a conscious effort lately on their catalog titles and actually improving on them, I guess the years of complaining about their QC, someone finally took notice.

So here is to hoping this isn't just a repackage.

I REALLY hope this has a new transfer. Although I'm not holding my breath.

It certainly needed a new transfer, probably moreso than BttF if we're being fair.

*takes cover*

edit; I took a look at some caps for BttF to refresh my memory. Nope, that one needs a new one even more than this

Nice to see that this "Grinchmas Edition" Blu-ray will apparently be remastered to look better than the first Blu-ray release.

It's too bad that this isn't coming in a green-colored case like the previous Blu-ray did, though.

Hell yes!!! I think I'm just gonna put the disc in the green case anyway. We really haven't had any official confirmation that BTtF isn't being remastered. They said they are using the same master. But it doesn't mean it has to be DNR'd does it? Either way very excited about this. This movie hold a very special place for me.

I have such a love/hate relationship with the movie. I saw it in the theater and finally picked up the BD last year. It's such an overblown, hot mess of a movie -- but I can't help being sucked in by the end.

I really enjoyed this movie, as Jim Carrey is a favorite of mine, but I've avoided the previous BD like the plague.

Now all I can hope for is that Sleepy Hollow gets a new transfer.

This is one of my favorite Christmas films period, and I've avoided the original Blu-Ray for years because of the extremely low review. I'll definitely be picking this one up.

To be fair, this film needed remastered bad!!!!! The first blu release looks like a DVD!!! At least BTTF looked like it was in HD even though it had DNR/EE. Looks like I'll be picking this up again.

To be fair the first Blu-ray of this film looked like it was trapped inside of a misty cloud with faded colors .

Now can they finally release the Faith Hill "Where are you Christmas" music video in HD. It airs once a year on an HD channel called Palladia and it looks amazing in HD.

"Remastered" with a big grain of salt. Like all those banners on Universal Pictures keepcases.

Just enough to make it an acceptable transfer. Not too little not too much effort invested.

Universal has apparently changed their ways, so we'll see. Apollo 13 and Breakfast club were both great remasters

I know they did. If 4K wasn't around the corner they would still continue the same old way.
