Shame they plagued it with DNR and not using DTS (wich is in the italian dvd version).

I've tryed many times contacting Koch Media asking if they're going to release more Bud%Terence BD's without DNR and why didnt they use DTS but never had a replay

This is now released in 6 or 7 different countries. Does anybody know if there is a "better" edition out there?

It's worth pointing out that two new editions from Soul Media were released in 2021 so I wonder if the new releases have newer transfers..

The German blu is an excellent transfer, cleaning the floor with the Italian disc.

The only problem is that because of a copyright clause, choosing either English or Italian audio will force German subtitles onto it. If you have a player which can remove subtitles, or move them out of the screen, then it's dirt cheap to pick up and a real bargain.

Wow yes that is an enormous difference! I am not sure if my player has that ability but I will try to find out. The German edition came out in 2013 - those two Nordic Soul Media releases are 2021 so I would assume they at the very least use the same transfer as Germany (if not a newer one)... so they would be very interesting to investigate because at the very least they should equal the German edition and there is a small chance they don't have the forced subs...

I have just confirmed some details (at least according to the BD.com database)..

2013 German edition has proper 1080p with DTS-HD Master Audio on a BD50. MPEG-4 AVC

Both 2021 Soul Media editions are 1080/50i with Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono on a BD25. VC-1 The rear cover art also confirms the Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono audio.

So these 2021 editions appear inferior on the surface... such a waste...

edit: (also appears to be the exact same disk and packaging for all Scandinavian countries so it's really just one edition not two as I said initially)
