Does anyone know how this version released on Sep 05, 2018 compares to the Japanese version released on Oct 12, 2012??

I have that one also, I agree the PQ is excellent.

The Japanese disc is loaded with DNR and has a fake 5.1 soundtrack that's "upmixed mono", not the movie's real stereo mix. The Spanish disc is sure to be a bootleg of it.

Well, only bought Megaforce, because I LOVE Michael Beck in this guilty pleasure of mine, great nostalgia from the old VHS Days, rented it.....a LOT of times....
